The Art of Slowing Down
Three of my favourite things are food, walking and travelling. I am currently in Hong Kong for work. This morning was free, so I took a fantastic walking tour to taste delicious, off-the-tourist-path food in the Sham Shui Po neighbourhood. Jackpot!
In a bustling city, taking time to walk through Sham Shui Po’s local eateries taught me that sometimes slowing down can reveal the true essence of a place - or a project.
Leaders, too, can benefit from taking a pause, allowing insights and understanding before rushing into action.
Similarly, true value often lies beyond the obvious. If you don’t know what you’re looking for, you can miss the best options! Call on the expertise around you and be willing to learn.
Until next week, take care of yourself and others
